Does your roommate suffer from such strong flatulence that they can kill a man if so you are in luck because cheaper than dirt sells military surplus products at great prices. I have seen gas masks on this site for under 10 bucks. This site is great because the militarys have tons of useless material that they are trying to move and this company buys it and moves it at ridiculously cheap prices.

The item i found that was really interesting was the German military blankets they looked ridiculously warm and i bet would last forever. At school we all understand the dorms are very cold and this blanket would be an awesome addition to anyones dorm room.

Alright Kiva sounds like a cool concept but heres my question. If i donate my money i get a tax break if i lend my money do i still get a tax break? Our we as a society so cheap that we cannot donate 25 bucks anymore or are we so selfish with our money that we want repaid even if it is a good cause? I am not sure the answer to any of these questions but i just wonder what happens. Also not all entrepreneurs succeed if the guy fails does he have to pay you back? I looked at their site very quickly and wondered all these things if anyone knows more please fill me in but a really cool concept?

Reid Hoffman

Google “Reid Hoffman” and you might be surprised to discover that not only is he the CEO and founder of LinkedIn, but he is on the Board of Directors for Kiva.org.

Not surprisingly, Hoffman was named as one of the “Top 50 People Who Matter” by CNN Money.  It’s not his undergraduate degree from Stanford, his graduate degree from Oxford, or his Board level position at Mozilla, Facebook, Technorati, and Six Apart that matters the most however.(though a resume like that is sure to weather even the worst economic downturn!) Fazil Khuseinov

One of Hoffman’s first loans was to a man named Fazil Khuseinov from Baku, Azerbaijan.  Fazil is a Displaced Person from the occupied Agdam district of Azerbaijan. He fled to Baku in 1993. He is married, and has two children. He started his business in 2001.  On April 26, 2007, Hoffman loaned Fazil $1,200 (through Kiva) to expand his textile business.  The 12-month loan has been repaid in full, and since then, Hoffman’s generosity has been recycled time and time again.

I’ve currently been in the library for the past four hours pounding out work and I thought to myself…why are all of my tests within a day of each other.  Sure it is nice to have that 2 week span while being test free but this three day torture session is awful…is anyone with me?

In case you weren’t aware just as IM basketball is winding down…a whole new bracket busting basketball season is about to begin…except it goes straight to one-loss elimination.  That’s right today is the official start of Inter-Fraternity basketball.  Anyone have a sleeper in mind?   Are the Okies going to grasp revenge on the Pis from the heartbreaking loss last year?  Will the Betas do something special?  Come to the IM room this week to find out!
