- Hands on experience in starting a business

- Hearing from experienced and successful entrepreneurs

- Faculty that actually have worked in the real world instead of just being book smart.

- Learning technical skills such as accounting and finances in a rigorous and challenging environment

After you sign up for Pinecone, you’ll receive emails with surveys that you qualify for. And for about 10 minutes of your time, they will either send you a check, or credit your PayPal account with $3. While it’s not a ton of money, I consider it eBay spending money, at the same time as I further Pinecone Research’s online  research.

Creative Commons is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to making it easier for people to share and build upon the work of others, consistent with the rules of copyright. The internet is an incredible invention, and the ability to share information with anyone around the world is one of the greatest tools in the history of mankind. Creative Commons creates free licenses for creative works and gives users the ability to revamp, edit, and add onto currently existing works.

Kiva.org aims to alleviate the fight against global poverty by making it easy for members to transfer money to people in third world nations who aim to start their own businesses. Capitalism is one of the best ways to fight poverty, but many people in the developing world don’t have access to the necessary funds to pursue their goals. Microlending sites such as Kiva make it easy for people all over to world to help those less fortunate. The fight against poverty may seem like it is never ending, but sites like Kiva help us come just a little closer to ending it.

Billed as email taken to the next level, Google Wave has slowly been gathering interest among Google users. What is Google Wave? Well, I’ll tell you. Google Wave is a type of email that is very easy to use and offers a much quicker way of responding to messages. Most messages are shorter than the average email. They seem to play out more like a text message conversation than emails.

It will take time to see if Google Wave catches on. Once again, Google has come out with a creative and innovative product. It will be a shame if it becomes a failure.
