Congratulations Kiva! Your doing it! All the statistics look good and I bet you are giving opportunities to many thousands of less-fortunate entrepreneurs world-wide. But there are a few statistics to consider. There are 689, 241 users of Kiva and there are roughly 8,000,000 million just in New York City alone. In addition, out of those 689,241 users, 438,704 users funded a loan. Finally, there are 320, 050 entrepreneurs to receive loans. Hypothetically speaking, what if the whole of New York City, in addition to the 438,704 Kiva users already loaning, loaned 25$ a piece? Wait. Do the math. Yea, the potential is incredible. I am going to be honest, I have never been to Digg.com before. Yet, realizing that I was required to write about it, I decided it might be time. For what seemed like minutes, I browsed, read, and watched their content brought in from thousands of different websites. But, it wasn’t minutes, it was two hours. After looking at the clock, I sat back in my chair and thought to myself, “this could be bad.”

Lacrosse is a special sport that many would consider to be a gruesome and violent. Now what happens when that same gruesome and violent sport has a team that hits the big-time? Well, I’ll tell you what they do… They get a twitter! Yes, that’s right folks! Grove City Men’s Lacrosse team has a twitter and has been tweeting since last year’s semi-final appearance in the conference playoffs. This is a promising year for the Wolverine’s after last year’s winning season and many agree that Grove City is a team to watch this season in the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA).

This week, in the division 2 polls, Grove City is ranked 11^th in the nation after beating number 9, Elon, and number 15, Scad, in a round-robin play-date this previous weekend. A brand new social networking site was launched several days ago by Google, called Buzz. Google Buzz is a new way to share updates, photos, videos, and start conversations about the things you find interesting. If you own a Gmail account, you’re already set up to follow the people you email and chat with the most. This new tool comes with many features that implicate dramatic change within the social networking/media arena. Over the past couple weeks, data shows that “over 160,000 Google Buzz posts and comments per hour.” But why is this social networking site so popular? How is Google Buzz different than Twitter or Facebook?

Here are some of its new features that distinguish Buzz from Twitter and Facebook:

• Integrated with one of the most widely-used email services on the planet.

Another new layout? Seriously? After what feels like several thousand design changes, Facebook has yet again changed the layout of their website. This endeavor was set in motion to create a more “simplified design and provide easy access to your entire Facebook experience.”

Here is a list of some of its new and reorganized features

The Top Menu

1. Icons for requests, messages, and notifications light up at the top left corner of the website so you don’t miss anything new.
2. The Account Menu contains links to important settings pages. It’s also where you can go to find help or log out.
3. The Basics — Search, Home and Profile — are accessible on the top right of every page.

The New Left Bar Menu

1. Core Features such as News Feed, Messages and your Friends – are now nicely organized at the top of the left bar menu, making it easier to keep up with what’s new.
2. Applications you’ve bookmarked have moved up the page for easy access. The new Applications and Games dashboards allow you to play to your heart’s desire.
3. Friends Online provides quick links to chat with your friends, or quickly go online yourself to show others your ready to talk. Facebook chat options are on the bottom bar.
