skype is sweet!

earlier today i was chatting with my friend who is studying abroad in spain. we were using skype to stay in touch. but skype has a variety of uses other than just staying in touch with people. you can use it to do things such as sharing links and files, you can even share your screen so that both people can see the same thing. you can also conference chat. the best part is that skype is very user friendly and can be adapted to a variety of uses. so far i have used it to instant message friends, video chat with my family, and last semester i even used it to do a remote presentation.

verizon, At&t, and sprint are struggling for control of the cell phone market. the focus of their efforts seems to be primarily on non call related services such as; downloading, streaming T.V., instant updates, and many more things. verizon claims to have the most dependable network, At&t allows you to talk and surf the web at the same time, and Sprint is upgrading from 3G to 4G (who knows what that actually means).  my opinion on the matter is that most people don’t really care what their phone does as long as is calls and texts, and if they want something more than that they’ll get a smart phone. i think that these wireless companies are focusing on the wrong thing in their ads, what do you think?
