Use your resources, Luke…

Much as the age old saying of use the force, Luke goes, it is the same these days when it comes to businesses making their way onto the Internet. Use the abundant resources available to you on the Internet. There are so many social media websites out there these days that it’s almost impossible to keep up with them all. The best part about it is that almost all of them are free! What a better way to gain a spot on the Internet as one of the leaders in your market than using free websites to make yourself known! Making sure that you utilize these websites is probably the best thing that you can do as a new to the Internet business. Using your resources wisely will help you to succeed!

PensBlog

Like the Pittsburgh Penguins? Enjoy “fine” critique of the art of hockey? Want to read rivetting material on hockey games and laugh a lot at the same time?

Then you should check out The Pens Blog and read away. Be warned though, some of these blogs are not for the faint of heart, and you definitely don’t want to come to this site if you’re a fan of another NHL team. Check it out sometime though, you’ll definitely enjoy the read.

This is why you're fat…

Sorry to anyone that saw this and thought that I was speaking directly to them. This is a website that I ran across the other day thanks to one of my friends. The website can be found at www.thisiswhyyourefat.com, and the whole idea behind the website is that people can send in crazy, rediculous ideas (most that have to do with frying) about combining different foods and making dishes that are terrible for you (but most likely delicious).

My friend’s goal is to try as many of the dishes as he can, but so far he’s only made it to the “McGangBang”, which combines a McDonald’s double cheeseburger, and a McChicken sandwich.

Interesting website, but fairly disgusting. Maybe you’ll find something you like on there though…

Another look at Kiva

When I look at Kiva, I’m reminded of all of those commercials that show the needy malnourished children in Africa and other countries that are in desperate need of donations from us. I think that this website is a great idea. It’s so nice to be able to help out those that are in need, even when we may not have known they were in need.

I wander though, how they determine who is worthy of our funding? They say that they use experts to determine the entrepreneurs that are in need. I wouldn’t want my money going to fund some secret drug cartel, or smuggling enterprise in another country though. I do trust a company that is this big and has this much publicity though.

Once again, the "New" facebook does not thrill all

Facebook again has decided to update their user interface. With the new features, you no longer have a “status” but you now post “what’s on your mind.” There is an odd resemblance to Twitter with the way that everything is now posted, and it can be very confusing to figure out exactly what is going on with your homepage.

People Against The New Facebook System

Multiple groups have already been started with people voicing their opinions, and the general concensus seems to be that people don’t like it. The groupd “People against the new facebook” already has over 250,000 members. Another group, “We don’t like the new facebook” also has 200,000 + members. Last time facebook had a major change in its interface, it was received in much the same way as this. We’ll have to see how long it takes for everyone to accept it the way the old facebook was.
