Linkedin.com is a website for individuals wanting to do a variety of different things. You can search for businesses or search for individuals and you can interact with them too through different features of the website. You can also find what jobs are available in the area of your choice along with the job description, experience needed, and contact information. Linkedin is also a globally used website where any and all businesses can put their information on the site available for anyone to see.

They also made it available to search for “old classmates” or any and all possibilities for this category.

Another option is posting questions on the site where professionals have the ability to reply answers to them. This helps businesses have a relationship to their consumers or employers to their employees.

This site seems like an interesting site to work with in the professional field.

As a small business company or a large business you can use twitter to advertise and provide information to your customers through a popular site easily.

2. Easy Blogging:

It is the easiest and most basic form of blogging out there.

3. Business networking:

Twitter is a informal type of social media networking and can be used to develop business relationships or ventures.

4. Breaking News and Gossip:

It can be used between family members to tell each other of important things that happened in the last week or it could be used for big companies telling of their new product that they are developing.

5. Streamlining Social Media:

You can use Twitter for email type chatting, for chatting, and instant messaging. So instead of using a bunch of different programs you could just end up using Twitter.

I don’t own an account and I don’t understand what it is all about. From my perspective it is a way for a self-absorbed society to talk about themselves and expect other people to care. Now, some people have more of a reason than others because people care about famous people (for some reason). A lot of famous people have very popular twitter accounts, that people can follow and see what they are doing. Its still under the assumption that people care what they think and do every second of the day.

I am being negative. Twitter definitely could be used in a non self-absorbed way. If you and your family or friends don’t live near each other it is a way of staying up to date on the day day doings of those people close to you. This kind of social media could bring families together in a way that not many other websites do.

I will have to give twitter a chance before I condemn it.

The internet let a single person have more information at their figure tips than is stored in a library.  If a fifth grade was doing a report on lion and typed “lions” into Google he would get 104,000,000 results.  The problem with the internet is that there is so much information that it is impossible to find what someone actually wants.  Google has become a 200 billion dollar company by trying to develop a search engine that helps people find what they are looking for.  Even with Google however there is just so much data that it is nearly impossible to sift through the data.  Data is just noise to the use it needs to be turned into meaningful information so they can use it.

Wherever there is a problem there is the potential for an entrepreneur to come in and find a solution.  People are calling out for ways to find the useful information and block all the spam or useless data.  Websites like the Drudge Report or other information blogs allow people to just go to one website instead of looking for all the information themselves.  As entrepreneurs there is a great potential to become an expert in a specific area and develop ways to simplify and condense the information for users.  Blogs are a great way to write about your expertise in an area and if enough people are interested then you can leverage it to make money.  People need people to look through all the data that the internet provides and turn it into meaningful information.

Before taking this course, I was clueless about Google Analytics and what keywords are. Although I learned a few things about these, this clip definitely taught me a few things about maximizing good use of key words. Check it out.
