Facebook again has decided to update their user interface. With the new features, you no longer have a “status” but you now post “what’s on your mind.” There is an odd resemblance to Twitter with the way that everything is now posted, and it can be very confusing to figure out exactly what is going on with your homepage.

Multiple groups have already been started with people voicing their opinions, and the general concensus seems to be that people don’t like it. The groupd “People against the new facebook” already has over 250,000 members. Another group, “We don’t like the new facebook” also has 200,000 + members. Last time facebook had a major change in its interface, it was received in much the same way as this. We’ll have to see how long it takes for everyone to accept it the way the old facebook was.

  1. I was definitely taken by surprise when I accessed Facebook from my webtop and it was completely different. It took me a minute to realize what was going on and what changes were actually made. I think people will eventually get over it and embrace the change.
