As I have gone about the process of creating my dance business, many lessons have been learned. As a video is required for my front page, and will be the crux point of the site, and you the quality of the video would have to be excellent. So I instantly thought to send my brother Ben an Email. Ben has created several movies already and is a very experienced and skilled movie editor.
His feedback was immediate, thorough, and immensely valuable. He had pages of suggestions and possibilities to make the video the best it could be. He even offered to give some professional help himself.
The point is, I believe there is much we miss out on by not having the humility to ask for help from others. Everyone has different areas of specialization, and it is only wise to utilize their expertise. Without my brothers help my video would have done a great disservice to me and my business, but with it I believe the end product will be something I can proudly display on the Internet. Perhaps there’s someone in your life that might be able to help you get around that roadblock you’re stuck at. In any case, be sure to have the humility and knowledge of self to be able to ask for help.
