We have seen our fair share of websites that hope to provide free music to consumers, usually by illegal means. I have recently been introduced to Grooveshark which is a new music sharing application that is completely legal. They make it legal by making sure that artists and labels are receive royalties using a P2P system to play, download and buy music.
Grooveshark is very easy to use. You can simply go on and start streaming. If you think you may become a regular, you can make a profile. By doing this, you can make and save playlists, upload your own music, and add friends to see what they are listening to. There is also a “discover” feature which allows you to find people who have similar tastes in music as you.
Try it! It’s pretty sweet.
