1. More than a onetime donation: When your loan is repaid you can use that money to make another loan. This allows you to continually have an impact without increasing your funding.
  2.  You get to pick: Kiva allows the donor to pick who they want to invest in. You can pick by region, gender, or business. This is a cool feature because many times companies give money to charities and have no idea where their money goes. Kiva also allows lending teams. This feature allows multiple investors to combine funds and pick as a team, who they want to invest in.
  3. More than a charity: When you give money to Kiva, your money is not going to have a temporary effect. Instead, your money will be used to help start a business that hopefully will help the people in that region be self sufficient and improve their standard of living for years to come. Most non-profits bring temporary comfort, while Kiva seems to last longer.
