Wikipedia: How they could be more self sustained?

We all know Wikipedia is a non profit organization that raises most of their money through fund raisers and donations. The interesting thing is there are a lot of different ways that they could actually raise more money and still stay as a non profit. In an article by Anand Srinivasan he outlines how they could do it. Donations are great and all but if one can get away from it and create a system that enables them to be less dependent on the giving hands of others it may be a smart move. Currently everyone is in fears of the fiscal crisis and by doing as Anand Srinivasan states it could really help the company mature and better utilize funding possibilities.
